Amy Adams To Play Janis Joplin

Amy Adams is set to play the role of legendary rock star Janis Joplin in an upcoming biographical movie.  The recently pregnant Amy Adams is best known for her roles in Sunshine Cleaning, Charlie Wilson's War, and Julie & Julia.

The film, entitled Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can, was previously rumored to star Zooey Deschanel in the role of Janis Joplin.

Janis Joplin died in 1970 and Amy Adams was born in 1974.
